SUMMARY:Great Pumpkin Carnival
DESCRIPTION:An Idyllwild tradition is the annual Great Pumpkin Carnival!  Because we’re located in a small mountain community\, we have no sidewalks\, very few streetlights\, many “second homes”\, and our homes are spread far apart\, Idyllwild holds a town Halloween carnival rather than doing typical house-to-house trick-or-treating.  The Great Pumpkin Festival begins with a costume parade starting at the top of North Circle Drive at 4:15pm on Halloween\, which ends in the center of town.  There\, kids can trick-or-treat at local businesses and attend the carnival from 5:00pm to 7:00pm that surrounds Idy Park\, which includes games\, food stands\, costume contests for children and adults\, and much more!
