Family Time & Father's Day in Idyllwild
We’re going wild for Father’s Day in Idyllwild this year. It’s Strawberry Fest, and you’ll find live music, family fun, living history, and plenty of strawberry specials to celebrate the weekend.
Family Fun
The historic Butterfield Stagecoach is returning to Idyllwild for FREE rides on June 20 & 21. Sign up at Idyllwild Brewpub for a free ride. Families are welcome on this horse-drawn ride around IdyPark in the center of town.
Saturday, June 20: 1pm to 5pm

New! Petting Zoo
For even more family fun, we’re bringing a petting zoo to Idyllwild Inn for the Father’s Day weekend. Visit the stagecoach horses while they rest between tours, and pet the goats, chickens, rabbits and other animals in our petting zoo.
Saturday & Sunday, June 20 & 21: noon to 4pm.
Idyllwild Brewpub Beer Garden
Just above Strawberry Creek, Idyllwild Brewpub is setting up an open-air beer garden for the weekend. They’ll be serving Strawberry Blonde and other beers, plus cocktails, from their sleek Airstream beer trailer. Open to all ages, you’ll also find local vendors and live music.

Say Hi to Max
No family visit to Idyllwild is complete without a visit to Mayor Max. You’ll find him in his mayormobile in front of Wooley’s on North Circle Drive Thursdays and Fridays at 4pm, and Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm. With his famous ties, a photo with Max is a perfect way to remember your family’s visit to Idyllwild. Don’t forget to grab a cone at Idyllwild Ice Cream or nostalgic and imported candy from the Candy Cupboard after your visit to Max.
