Shop & Eat
A stroll around the center of town brings you to shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants, all within a few blocks of IdyPark.
You won’t find any big chain stores, but you’ll find everything you need in the heart of the village along North Circle Drive and Village Center Drive. Park once, and pick a direction.
On one side of the town, Idyllwild Brewpub brews beer from clean mountain water and serves hearty food with a view of Strawberry Creek. On the other side, a pet boutique in a building from 1930. In between, you’ll find sweet treats, gifts, and art, all from local businesses.
Eating
Idyllwild mornings start early, and you’ll find coffee shops and cozy restaurants ready to fuel your outdoor adventures. For lunch and dinner, two places stand out for their outdoor dining and mountain fare. Idyllwild Brewpub is perched among the trees, serving beer and cocktails, burgers, salads and hearty plates, and is open daily. Just a few minutes outside of town, The Peak serves steak, seafood and comfort food at Tahquitz Pines Retreat. Find more dining options, from snacks to supper, on Where to Eat.
Shopping
The village’s shops run from souvenirs and custom hats to crystals, candles, vintage clothing, records, a garden nursery and a pet boutique, and nearly all of them are on North Circle Drive. Where to Shop groups them by what they sell. For the town’s galleries, see Art & Galleries.
Before you go
Hours change, and plenty of places here close a day or two midweek, so check hours before you go.
Bringing a dog? Most of the town is dog friendly, and The Brewpub has a dog menu. Idyllwild with dogs covers the rest.
